I did very poorly on my first chemistry midterm, I scored fairly lower than the average and didn’t understand why, I had taken the class in high school. When I got the test back I realized I hadn’t gotten many problems wrong, but each problem was weighted very heavily. When studying I encountered a difficult topic and didn’t learn it thoroughly because I assumed it would be outweighed by all the other material. So for the second midterm I didn’t slack off when learning a challenging topic. It was more important to know something about every topic than everything about a few topics.
